Glowing dogs

Article from: Mysterytopia

Korean scientists have solved the age-old question: how to make dogs glow? The answer: engineer them with fluorescent genes. They've engineered four beagles to glow, and if that's not silly enough, they've called all four Ruppy (yes, a combination of 'puppy' and 'ruby'; the colour they glow). We don't see the point of this, but apparently they're proud of themselves. Such techniques may be used to cure diseases (or glow dogs). The dogs glow red under UV light, and have thin skin so they even look red to the naked eye.

Animal cruelty and human stupidity disguised as science; impressive. Why would you want a dog that glows? Paris Hilton had one but sadly flushed it down the toilet when it stopped glowing.
